Dave Attell joins the guys in the studio, he talks about his coke and alcohol addictions. He used to date Sarah Silverman who said he didn’t have those addictions when she was with him, he said back then he couldn’t even afford alcohol. Attell is now the host of the new Gong Show on Comedy Central. Howard wants Attell to speculate why Kimmel and Silverman split up, Howard wonders if their sex life fizzled. Attell thinks possibly it could be their work schedules… Gary said Dave was a saint on the Afghanistan trip because he spent a lot of time with the troops even when all the other guys were so beat that they just wanted to rest, however not Dave he was out and about talking with the guys. Dave said he bunked with Artie several times on the trip, he said he imagined that he might snore but never realized that Artie talks in his sleep, it’s appears he actually orders food!

Amber Hay stops by the studio she will be on the cover of September’s issue of Girl’s Gone Wild. Howard wanted to know all about her intimate relationship with Joe Francis. Ralph and Howard argue over the whole Christie Brinkley public divorce, Ralph can’t believe that Howard is defending Brinkley. Like Howard said this guy was using the family computer to masterbate on camera and paying a young girl to sleep with him and he agrees that if she had to expose him to humiliate him in order for her to retain custody then that’s what needed to be done. Riley Martin
Riley Martin calls to say he can’t wait to get out of his contract because they are keeping him broke…..so Howard tells him go ahead and leave and find another job, as of November he is a free man. He is complaining that Robin never payed for the symbols she ordered, Robin said she will send him the money. Riley said he is going to crash Howard’s wedding and smack some sense into them. Howard ends the call and plays this new prank call….

Eric calls in to Defend Gary
It’s seems Gary had a little problem with a soldier who said Gary was rude and didn’t want to sign a book a book by Opie and Anthony. Gary explains it was not like that at all, he was on a call to home letting his family know he was ok after the story broke about them being close to a bombing when he was approached by a soldier and asked to have his picture taken and to sign a book, both of which Gary agreed to, but for some reason this soldier felt Gary was put off by it. Gary later went on SFN to defend himself and everything was blown out of proportion, so Eric the Midget called in to defend him even though he wasn’t there!

Artie said there were so many stories he could go on and on, he did want to mention that if people want to donate please donate the little juice boxes, the guys there really need to be hydrated, he said in the urinals there they contain a urine chart to compare your urine to, it goes by color and lets you know if you are dehydrated. They also have hydration drills there were you are made to drink water. Howard wants to know who Artie is leaning towards now that he has experienced war, he states he is now leaning towards McCain. Howard said the XM/Sirius merger is being held up because of Democrats….

The Afghanistan Trip
Artie said during the trip to Afghanistan he felt very protected, though there were times he did get a bit nervous. Artie ended up losing fourteen pounds on the trip. There were some late flights and such, Artie and Jim almost ended up going and doing the show by themselves. But everyone ended up making the last connecting flight so everyone was able to go and perform, there was Nick DiPaolo, Dave Attell , Artie, Gary and Jim Florentine. The guys had a list of things they were not supposed to talk about, but the guys pushed the limit and everyone had a great time. There were a few things that happened that the guys got to use in there bits, one was about the shit pond, Artie said the stench was so bad he was gagging on stage. There was also a close call with a bombing while the guys were on the road, Artie said there were five soldiers assigned to protect them who did a great job. Howard said he is very proud of these guys for entertaining the troops while they are over there fighting for our country. Artie then goes into a story about having a meltdown in Kazakhstan because his flight was delayed and he wanted to get home, he ends up finding Valium and buys twenty, he ends up taking twelve to calm down.
